leslierahye's very Steampunk Valentine Blog Hop

Welcome to my 2nd Annual Very Steampunk Valentine Blog Hop! I have collected a small group of bloggers who LOVE Steampunk and are celebrating Valentine's Day Steampunk Style! I always love to see what each crafter brings to the hop! I hope you enjoy our steampunk inspired Valentine crafts!
For my projected I used a collection of steampunk and love stamps from various companies. I colored my tile with Splash inks and stamped the background of the tile with a Love definition stamp and gears. I heat set the inks and layered on a steampunk lady and ribbons and flowers. Finally a heart trinket and a snippet of a metallic Valentines necklace complete the embellishments. The ribbons was hand-stamped with gears as well.

Blog Hop Prize!! Take the time to visit each blog on the list and leave some blog love for each stop.  I will choose on Valentines Day the winner of a prize package from AlteredPages.com including some one of  kind stamps from Mailbox Muse and a scalloped heart die cut and more!  You must comment on each stop to be eligible to win!

Quick & Easy Valentines with Melonheadz Bundles

Good morning everyone! I'd like to share a new digital design challenge team from one of my favorite digital stamp designers. Nikki of Melonheadz Illustrating has added a team to her sites for sharing her designs. What I enjoy about Nikki's designs is that she always includes hand drawn word art along with her fun and whimsical images. Additionally she bases a lot of her bundles on school subjects and literature. These are the reasons I fell in love with her work and I am honored to design projects for her.

Today's challenge is Valentine's Day!!
now until midnight on the 18th of February

I chose this cute Valentine's Day bundle that had fun sentiments included to make whimsical cards for my kids to share. On an 8½ × 11" piece of paper it's easy to get two cards [printing front and back] that can be trimmed to 4¼×8½" and then folded in half. To highlight the cards, I used glitter and crystal lacquer and edged the cards with coordinating BIC Mark-Its! It's a fun, quick and easy set of cards for my kids to had out to their friends and family! These images are available in Black & White or Color. To make it even quicker, I used the precolored designs.

Bloom ATC with Altered Pages

I created my fun "Bloom ATC" using the Collage Backgrounds Oriental AP-1724, Gold German Scrap and original one-of-a-Kind Chinese paper scrap from AlteredPages.com. I printed my background collage on both tissue paper and cardstock to create faux washi tape layers on top of edged oriental backgrounds. The papers were edged with Black Paris Trunk Ink and layered on top of  a corrugated and painted ATC base. $1 store silk flowers were pulled apart and reassembled in to petite buds and upholstery remnants were rolled into beads for added embellishment. The year was punched from mini playing cards and a piece of tissue was attach with Crystal Lacquer to make it transparent.
I hope you enjoy celebrating the upcoming Chinese New Year with my Bloom ATC!
